Post ACL Op recovery diary - 1 month on

Pain: generally 0 with exception of …

  • 3 of 10 on any movement involving near-or-fully extended knee

  • some '1 of 10 ‘tearing’ sensation on op-site, and on knee medial area.

  • 4 of 10 pain from tailbone persisted for a week, relief and recovered since ulitising soft-manly-foam bum pad

  • pain on grafted hamstrings no longer noticable (tightness, stiffness & weakness remaiis

Movement: Generally normal gait, limps when tired

  • On Week 3 Physio measured flexion of 130 degrees. Good.

  • Today (1 month on), flexion observed to be closer to pre-op level.

  • General stiffness / tightness on hamstring when attempting to hamstring curls

  • Swelling comes and goes, often can feel it restrict movement and recede with cold compress

  • Extended knee and if under muscle or general load, will feel pinched pain and soreness behind patella tendon - advised to avoid pain while recovering.

  • Walking gait otherwise good, but balance still poor.
