ACL Post-Op Week 3

Pain: generally 0 to 1, with exception…

  • 3 of 10 when attempting to ‘Knee Flexion’ exercise

  • 6 of 10 when my little toe argued with sofa’s steel legs

  • attempted Steps, sharp 4 of 10 pain just under knee cap, gave up.

  • sitting too much - tailbone sore, buying soft-manly-foam pad from ebay.

  • occassional pain, sharp 4 of 10 on medial side of knee, unsure if meniscus, grafted hamstrings or both. <- observe!

Movement: Generally normal gait, limps when tired

  • attempted morning walk, knee swells up (restricting movement) slightly after 10 minutes, abandoned.

  • removed braces- too frustrating to use, will attempt to buy a better, hinged one later.

  • stopped using crutches at home- continue to use 1 if going out.

Rehab Exercises (see screenshot):

  • strong enough to perform all 3 times a day, with exception to a few

    • Hip Abduction - super sore after 1 set

    • Knee Flexion - still painful using the hamstrings, pulling with towel is difficult (and pain of course). Swelling or new ligaments causing problem?

my exercise plan for week 3 and week 4
