ACL Reconstruction- Post Op Day 8 - 10

Knees doesn’t look too different, swelling still there - there’s a feeling some reduced inflammation, but as the photos below show, not noticable at all.

Created in Canva, good app btw. Reduction of Swelling not noticable

On day 6 I could feel pain more in the knee - asked Sis and that is normal all the post op meds are now out of system.

Still the pain it’s not the worst,on a scale of 3 perhaps, but it is a tugging one. In the end I started Codeines on Day 7, in the evening. The following days are similar so I decided to be more consistent with pain relief.

For about 2 days i ‘forgot’ to wear my brace, I realised I could walk and bear weight (as the doctor advised), although with sharp pains on the medial meniscus after some minutes. Also using a lot less of the crutches, tiny British homes really are not build for them - it’s more risky now that i can bear weight. I still use it about 50% of the time because I am not confident with my sense of balance yet, perhaps the leg is still weak.

Frustrated with the tugging/ restriction knee flexion at this moment.
