Stephen King's Holly
completed reading today. Decided to borrow from our local library on a whim, i had not read any of the preceding books - aka the Mr. Mercedes series. It must've been 20 years since I last read his excellent The Green Mile.
For me the story is good, whats better is Stephen Kings ability to flesh out the character. I learned - correction - discovered about the characters: Holly, and Babara and the Harrises and many more over many chapters, making the storyworld richer the more i go through its pages.
Appreciates final addendum at the end providing me some snippets of how the idea came to be- he wanted to write about Zooming in a funeral, later having the thought of harmless old folks with bodies turning up forms the basis for this novel.
looking forward to more reading.
